The school has an active and supportive Parents Council.
The main duties of the Parents Council are to: - find out what parents views are and to represent these to the school
- help to promote contact between the school, parents and the community
- report to parents at least once a year
- take part in the selection of senior promoted staff
- set occasional holidays
Examples of topics discussed at Parents Council meetings are: Budget cuts, School Curriculum, School Transport, Road Safety, School Uniform, Pupil Lockers, Attendance and Truancy, School Holiday Arrangements, etc. There have also been regular talks or presentations from members of school departments, regional representatives and from pupils. Suggestions for topics from parents are always welcomed. Council meetings, which take place about once a month, are open to the public, and details are always available from the School Office.
The Parent Council Newsletters can be found on the Documents page. Please note Microsoft Publisher is required to view them.
