PA - Practical abilities internally assessed grade awarded for correctly completing set experiments accounts for 20% of final Standard Grade award. PPA’s - Prescribed practical activities, also called outcome 3’s, are experiments which must be carried out by Higher Chemistry pupils, one of which must be written formally and submitted to SQA if required. 10% of the marks in the Higher Chemistry exam are based on these experiments.
